N6-methyladenosine(m6A) - Wirters

  m6A (N6-methyladenosine) is the most common post-transcriptional modification of eukaryotic mRNAs, accounting for 80% of RNA methylation modifications. As early as the 1970s, m6A modifications have been identified in eukaryotic mRNA and lncRNA. The m6A genes consist of three groups, including writers, readers (IYT521-B homolog [YTH]) and erasers (alkylation repair protein-B [AlkB]).
  Wirters has four gene families, including MTA70, WTAP, HAKAI(0) and VIRILIZER, which are identified by accession numbers 'PF05063', 'PF17098', 'PF18408' and 'PF15912', respectively. We identified a total of 36 writers in the Oleaceae family, including 24 MTA70s, 8 WTAPs, and 4 VIRILIZERs, but no HAKAI was identified. Click here to download the full writers genes list.
